The annual Silver Screen Awards are being held in the Los Angeles Chamberlain Auditorium. Hollywood's elite will be there, as well as political dignitaries, including the wife and daughter of the Russian Prime Minister. When CTU's cyber unit discover a 'Trojan Horse' - a computer virus that hides in downloadable files - that attacks the payroll systems of Movie industry giants, it appears initially to be a rogue criminal intent on derailing one movie studio's summer blockbuster release. But a mysterious string of linked murders alert CTU that something bigger is on the cards. They are right.
