This book explains how to assess the present conservation value of a piece of land and how to draw up a plan for its long-term management. Emphasis is placed on maintaining areas that are of high value, enhancing areas of lower value, creating new conservation areas where possible and integrating all of these with the commercial or recreational use of the land.
