NRSV Standard Text Edition Hardback with jacket NRHB: New Revised Standard Version Standard Text Edition

The NRSV Standard Text Edition is Cambridge's best-selling Bible in the UK. It is particularly popular as a Pew Bible. It offers three benefits in one book – it's accurate, ecumenical and easy to understand. It uses the popular New Revised Standard Version, which combines broad scholarship with up-to-the-minute, inclusive language. The NRSV is the fruit of over 15 years' work by scholars from the major denominations of the Christian Church. Already accepted by the international academic community, it is used in churches and Bible Study groups throughout the English-speaking world. It is the version recommended by the Church of England for use in church services. The NRSV is a complete and thorough revision of the RSV – with the added benefit of the knowledge gained from the Dead Sea Scrolls and other recent archaeological and biblical insights.
